Larra Wallace

Putnam County roots run deep for me! Born and raised here, I'm now raising my 4 children with my husband Dylan, in the same community that shaped who we are. After graduating from Palatka High in 2002 (Go Panthers!) I juggled being a veterinary technician with hitting the books. I then attended St. Johns River State College before moving into the next chapter of life.

Next came an 8-year adventure at a local call center, where I honed my customer service and leadership skills! Then, I took some time to be a stay-at-home mom with my daughter.

But the call of Putnam County was strong! I eased back into work by serving at a local restaurant, and that's where the magic happened. I fell head-over-heels for this amazing community and all it has to offer. Sharing that love became my passion.

So, I re-entered the professional world, working with Charlie Douglas for the past 6 years. I've tackled countless projects, volunteered like crazy, and even brought some local events to life! It was during this time that connecting community members further fueled the fiery passion of Putnam County. Watching others find the tools and resources they needed without leaving the county lines was an incredible feeling.

When the chance to host a podcast about Putnam County was presented, I grabbed it with both hands! Now, as the host of Bass Capital Radio Podcast, I get to share my Putnam County pride with the world – one episode at a time!

When I'm not podcasting or cheering on my family, you'll find me immersed in anything art and music, giving back to the community, or nurturing my garden.

My ultimate goal? To inspire others to discover the same love for Putnam County that burns bright within me. Let's work together to make this place even more incredible!
