The Putnam County Historical Society and Downtown Palatka Experiences are having a cemetery tour of Westview Cemetery in Palatka on Saturday January 17th at 11am.

Arbor day celebrations are being held this week January 16th at St Johns River State College at 10am, Interlachen at Dickerman Hall at 2pm and Saturday January 17 th at  Crescent City Eva Lyons park at 10am free saplings will be handed out while they last.

The Dan McNutt seventh memorial golf tournament will be held Saturday January 17 at the Oaks Golf Club with proceeds to benefit the South Putnam Christian Service Center

A live country concert called Rotary Ranch Round Up Country Nite will be held January 24 at the Florida timberland in Florahome.  Doors open at 5pm and music runs 6pm to 11pm.  Tickets are $35 with a $10 cooler charge. Call 904-453-9631 for tickets and information.

The Kinslee Strong 5K Fun Run and Walk benefiting Children and Families affected by Congenital Heart Disease will be held Saturday January 31 at Coventry Oaks Farm 104 Springside Shortcut Road in Palatka starting at 10am with the race beginning at 11am with festivities to follow. A yard sale and bake sale will be held at the Crescent City Women’s Club at 604 Summitt Street on Friday and Saturday January 30 and 31st from 8am to 4pm.

The River City Players presents the play Scotland Road on January 28 to February 8 at the Larimer Arts Center in Palatka. Go to RCP Players. org for information and tickets.

St Monica Catholic Church will have a flea market on Friday and Saturday February 6 and 7 at the hall behind the church at 5th and Oak Street in Palatka from 8am to 1pm.

The Palatka farmers market will take place the first and third Saturdays of the month at the Putnam County Courthouse lawn from 9am until 2pm

Putnam Habitat for Humanity is requesting donations of heaters.  Drop off contributions or heaters at 2506 Crill Ave in Palatka.

There are new locations for drop off of food items for feed the need.  you can drop off at both Palatka Ameris bank locations, Putnam county school district office, the hospital, and at chips water works in the industrial warehouse site.  They are looking for non-perishable food items for backpacks for kids with pop tops if possible.

Putnam Habitat for Humanity will have a swap meet at 210 South Palm Ave in Palatka the first Saturday of each month.  You can set up a 10×10 space for $20. Call habitat for humanity at 386-325-5862 for information.
