Susan
A veteran with WPLK, Susan has been with this Station for 35 years. She needed a job 35 years ago and George D. reeled her in to radio. Having lived in Putnam for 51 years, Susan knows this community through and through. She has a ball talking to different people on and off the air!
Fun Fact:
It’s no mystery that Susan loves to hunt! She enjoys being out in the woods.
Community Involvement:
Putnam Historical Society, Daughters of the American Revolution. Past Community Involvement includes American Cancer Society, Blue Crab, Junior Women’s Club, Raising three boys (which is more than enough involvement in one’s life), Dugout Club…LOTS of baseball.
Mary
Mary has been in radio for 51 years! She started at a college radio station in northern Minnesota. She has worked in Minnesota, Illinois and Texas before eventually landing in Putnam in 1980. She said Putnam County is a great place to live, work and play and the people are wonderful!
Fun Fact:
Mary loves gardening! Her friends call her backyard the “Hanging Gardens of Palatka”.
Community Involvement:
Pilot Club of Palatka, Putnam First Cancer Fund, Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, small group Christian Community leader for St Monica Catholic Church.
G-Man
Hopping off the train in Palatka on January 2, 1968, G-Man always felt like he was born to be on the radio—listening more to the disc jockey and less to the music. He joined the radio club at St. John’s River State College (which at that time was just a small PA system where they played records). He enjoys how everything in radio comes together: audio production, presentation and entertainment.

G-Man loves camping and fishing!

Marcia
Marcia began her career with 40 years in the print news business. She saw radio as a new opportunity and has been with the Station for 10 years. Other than being born in St. Augustine, she has lived in Putnam her whole life. Marcia is the Station’s link to the news. She loves meeting people and finding out what’s happening…she’s always in the know!

George
A Putnam native, George has been in radio for 15 years. He was pulled into the industry through his previous profession—Owner of the Badcock Furniture store. George started in the industry by doing commercials for his store. Other local businesses noticed his on-air talent and reached out to George to do their commercials!
Fun Fact:
George knows everything there is to know about horses and cattle. He has been announcing professional rodeos for over 30 years!

4H Volunteer & Instructor, Planning Board for City of Palatka, Board of Directors for Azalea City Kiwanas, Professional Rodeo Announcer (Announcer of the Year, Worldwide Rodeo Profession (2023).
Taylor
Taylor D. has been gracing the Station with his likeable demeaner and charismatic personality for 15 years. Retiring as Putnam County Sheriff in 2005, Taylor is enjoying his second career in real estate as Broker/Owner of Taylor Douglas Realty. Taylor has been married to his wife, Marsha for 44 years and they enjoy spending time with family…especially the grandkids!
Fun Fact:
When not appearing on the air or running is realty business or spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren, Taylor enjoys fishing and hunting.
